On January 11, 2006 Mayor Richard Daley appointed Bridget O’Keefe to the CHA Board of Commissioners. Her term expires July 7, 2008.

Ms. O’Keefe is an attorney and partner of the land resource group of Michael Best & Friedrich. Prior to her current position, Ms. O’Keefe served as the Lakefront Planning Director for the Chicago Park District, where she oversaw development and planning for long-term capital projects along the city’s lakefront.

Commissioner O’Keefe has extensive experience with federal and state government through her work for former Congressman Marty Russo in Washington, D.C., and as an attorney for Speaker Michael Madigan in the Illinois House of Representatives.

Ms. O’Keefe earned her Juris Doctorate from Georgetown University, cum laude, in 1987 and was admitted to the Illinois State Bar the same year.
