LeClaire Courts is located west of Cicero Avenue, between 42nd and 45th street.
Resident Leadership Public housing residents are represented by a strong leadership headed by the development’s Local Advisory Council (LAC). This council is synonymous with a tenant association and is headed by an LAC president who is part of the Central Advisory Council, the governing body of the LAC.
History The LeClaire Courts 316-unit complex of townhouse apartments was constructed in 1950. It was expanded in 1954 when federal funds were used to finance an additional 300-unit complex (also townhouses) called the LeClaire Courts ExtensionExisting Conditions LeClaire Courts currently has 212 occupied units, and LeClaire Courts Extension has 140 occupied unitsPlan for Transformation: To Be Determined A working group began meetings as of March 2006 to determine future plans for LeClaire Courts and Extension.Contact Property Management Office or Service Connector for LeClaire Courts |
