Employees may use the birthday floater holiday within thirty (30) days of their actual birthday up until the last full payroll period in December each year; this holiday may not be taken in a a subsequent year and is forfeited if unused. For new employees whose birthday occurs before their date of hire, they will not be eligible for the floater holiday.

Generally, when a holiday falls on a Saturday it is celebrated on the preceding Friday. When the holiday falls on a Sunday it is celebrated on the following Monday.
