  • Approval of Personnel Action Reports for the month of August 2009
  • Recommendation of contract awards for various legal services
  • Recommendation to enter into an Intergovernmental Agreement for Land Transfers in the ABLA Community

 

Finance & Audit Committee Report

  • Recommendation to approve Amendment No. 3, not-to-exceed $737,000, to Contract with Ernst & Young, LLP to exercise the third option year for Independent Professional Auditing Services and provide additional Audit Procedures
  • Recommendation to award contracts for General Liability, Excess Liability, Public Officials Liability, All Risk Property, Employed Lawyers Errors and Omissions Liability, Employment Practices Liability, Auto Liability and Crime and Fiduciary Liability for an aggregate amount not-to-exceed $1,407,735
  • Recommendation to Issue Chicago Housing Authority Energy Service Capital Project (Build America) Bonds, Series 2009 (Stimulus Project)
  • Recommendation to award contract for Bond Underwriters. Recommended Awardees: BMO Capital and Wells Fargo Securities to serve as Designated Senior Managers and Rice Financial Products Company and Siebert Brandford Shank & Co., LLC to serve as eligible Senior/Co-Managers
  • Recommendation for CHA to Become a Founding Member of SmartChicago Communications in Partnership with the City of Chicago for its ARRA Broadband Stimulus Application and Authorization for a Commitment of up to $3,000,000 in Matching Funds for the SmartChicago Communications Initiative
  • Ratification of Acceptance of Grant Funds from HUD, in the amount of $54,000, to continue the Family Self Sufficiency Program and, enter into a Sub-Grantee Agreement with Heartland Human Care Services and increase the FY2009 Comprehensive Budget
  • Recommendation to Award Contracts for Supply and Delivery of Office Supplies and Toner Cartridges. Recommended Awardees: Office Depot, not-to-exceed $250,000 and Intercity Supply Company, not-to-exceed $300,000

 

Operations Committee Report

  • Recommendation to approve Modification No. G-01 to Contract No. 9020 with Oakk Construction, Inc., in the amount of $194,398.05, for additional work related to the Family Housing Renovation of Washington Park Homes
  • Ratification of Modification No. G-01 to Contract No. 9025, in the amount of $177,950, with Walsh Construction Company for additional work related to the Renovation of Lawndale Gardens, Phase 2
  • Recommendation to award contract for the Family Housing Renovation at Atlgeld Gardens, Phase 4 (Block 9, Block 10 and Laundry Facility No. 4) (Stimulus Project). Recommended Awardee: Walsh Construction, in the amount of $48,927,713
  • Recommendation to award contract for the Exterior Envelope Repair, Interior Renovation and ADA and Site Improvements at Hoyne Community Center. Recommended Awardee: Tropic Construction Corporation, in the amount of $2,267,414
  • Recommendation to approve award of contract for HCV Technical Advisor. Recommended Awardee: Nan McKay and Associates; in the amount of $381,778

 

Tenant Services Committee Report

  • Recommendation to approve the First One-Year option of Contract No. 8064 with Housing Choice Partners of Illinois, not-to-exceed $390,000, to provide Good Neighbor Workshops
  • Recommendation to approve the First One-year Option for Contract No. 8065 with Employment & Employer Services, not-to-exceed $400,000, to provide Good Neighbor Workshops
  • Recommendation to approve Contract Extension with LR ABLA LLC, not-to-exceed $500,000, to provide Community and Supportive Services to families residing within or relocating to the Roosevelt Square Community
