Each year CHA submits a Comprehensive Annual Budget and Financial Report to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD).
The Comprehensive Annual Budget serves as the recommended financial and policy plan of CHA's Board of Commissioners for each fiscal year, which begins January 1 and ends December 31. It outlines CHA's program and financial policies and procedures, and includes personnel and non-personnel line-item expenditures, financial summary tables and narrative overviews related to CHA operations.
The Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR) contains the financial statements of the Authority for the fiscal year in which it was compiled. Each CAFR is fully audited by an independent firm of licensed public accountants to ensure accuracy and eliminate financial mistatements from the Authority.
Both documents provide information necessary for HUD to assess CHA’s financial and budegtary performance, and act as tools to facilitate transparency between the Authority and our stakeholders, partners and general public. These downloadable documents are available for viewing below.
