Recalibration of the Plan for Transformation

Recalibration of the Plan for Transformation

With new leadership at both the City of Chicago and the Chicago Housing Authority, CHA is embarking on a recalibration of the original Plan for Transformation. In collaboration with the City of Chicago, the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the John D. & Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation, CHA will explore new tools and strategies for completing initial goals and planning for the Housing Authority’s future role in providing affordable housing options.

As part of this effort, CHA is engaging a broad spectrum of stakeholders in an intense information gathering and input process to identify lessons learned as well as input to help shape the next phase of the Plan.

CHA held four regional Resident Input Sessions at ITT (Feb. 27), South Shore Cultural Center (Feb. 29), Lane Tech High School (Feb. 29), and the UIC Forum (Mar. 9). We thank the more than 800 residents who participated in these sessions.

CHA invites residents and the public to view a portion of the feedback, ideas, and suggestions we collected online via our IdeaScale webpage by clicking here.
