Systems Analyst II - Information Technology Services

The Systems Analyst II’s role is to plan, design, develop, and launch efficient information systems and operations systems in support of core organizational functions. This individual will apply proven communication, analytical and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate and resolve systems issues in order to maximize the benefit of IT systems investments.

Summary of Primary Accountabilities

Examples of responsibilities of this position may include, but not limited to:

Ensure compatibility and interoperability of computing systems.
Review and analyze the effectiveness and efficiency of existing systems and develop strategies for improving or further leveraging these systems.
Create systems models, specifications, diagrams and charts to provide direction to application developers.
Schedule and balance the assigned work load with project managers, and resolve assigned issues.
Meet with various representatives from business departments to define and document report requirements
Develop system and report specifications
Conduct research on hardware and software products to facilitate procurement efforts.
Developing the report prototypes to be reviewed and approved by the business users.
Develop and test reports as required.
Tune SQL to improve reporting performance as needed.
Provide applications administration support, creating and/or modifying security access and roles.
Develop test scripts for and participating in application updates and upgrades.

Requirements

Proven experience in overseeing the design, development, and implementation of software and hardware solutions, systems, or products.
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.
4-5 years Oracle development experience in Oracle 9i/10g.
Excellent analytical, documentation and communication skills.
Strong customer service orientation.
Excellent presentation and style.
Knowledgeable in TOAD
Degree in Information Technology or 5+ years of related experience.
Experience in Oracle BI report development is preferred.
Experience in Oracle Data Warehouse ETL is preferred.
