CHICAGO-When Shante Chatman entered the Family Self-Sufficiency Program, She was struggling to repair her credit and stuck in a job where she was only working part time. Five years, a new full-time job at Jane Adams Hull House and a car purchase later, Chatman has not met all her goals to graduate from FSS, but she has also increase her income so much that she no longer needs voucher assistance to pay her rent.

CHICAGO – June is Men’s Health Month, and to spread awareness of health-related issues among senior men, Cook County Board President Todd Stroger and Chicago Housing Authority CEO Lewis A. Jordan will be on hand for “Men’s Health Day,” a mini-health fair sponsored by CHA Senior Supportive Services and Provident Hospital of Cook County.

Galvan joined the community and residents to celebrate the grand opening of Parkside of Old Town with a ribbon-cutting ceremony, Monday, April 21, 2008. Parkside of Old Town is a mixed-income community that is the first replacement housing to be built directly on the site of the former Cabrini Extension North high-rise buildings on the city’s Near North Side.
