Paying for College

CHA residents can obtain a degree or certificate from City Colleges of Chicago at low or no cost through a partnership between CHA and CCC called the Partners in Education program. Partners in Education Program Managers help residents with enrollment, academic advisement, and referrals for career coaching when appropriate. Eligible expenses include tuition, uniforms, books, and exam fees.

Each year, CHA awards $2,000 scholarships which are available for most residents applying to or currently attending an accredited post-secondary institution as an undergraduate.

As CHA's non-profit partner, Springboard to Success (S2S) funds programs and events that help youth get to and through college and beyond. S2S also funds the Resident Scholarship Program.
