TAKE FLIGHT: COLLEGE RECEPTION
In partnership with the Chicago Housing Authority and other corporate partners, nearly 200 CHA college students participate in Springboard to Success's Take Flight College Reception. Incoming freshman attend universities across the country and leave the Take Flight College Reception with dorm room essentials to furnish their on-campus housing. Eliminating the need to purchase these incidentals serves as a great support and fosters continued growth in CHA college students.
TAKE FLIGHT: STAYING THE COURSE
College persistence is key to achieving academic success. During "Take Flight: Staying the Course", CHA college students engage in activities that will resolve common collegiate issues, professional networking, and a chance to gain access to summer job opportunities. The majority of students attend (or have attended) the Take Flight College Reception and are CHA scholarship recipients, placing S2S closer to achieving its vision.
CHA BACK-TO-SCHOOL EVENT AT BROOKFIELD ZOO
Before the new school years starts, 400 elementary CHA youth visit Brookfield Zoo. After enjoying exciting animal exhibits, kids receive a new backpack filled with school supplies, all sponsored by Pangea Real Estate.
SENIOR GALA
Ever year a few thousand CHA seniors dress up and kick off their holiday season at the Annual CHA Senior Gala. Seniors enjoy live music, special guest host, fine dancing and many giveaways from the event's key sponsors. The Senior Gala has been a tradition for more than three decades.
