Roosevelt Square includes 120 Public Housing units in a mixed-income community in the Little Italy neighborhood that will ultimately bring more than 2,000 housing units to Chicago's Near West Side community area.
Located on the Near West Side of Chicago, the project has been lauded locally as an effective community anchor and nationally for its innovative design. Above the single-level library there are 73 apartments, including 37 CHA units. It was completed in 2019.

The program is designed to assist participants on a personalized path toward economic independence and overall well-being.
CHA’s Choose to Own Homeownership Program (CTO) allows qualifying Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) and Public Housing families to use their housing subsidy to purchase a home.
Businesses that get money from HUD (like for building projects or other federal help) must offer job training, jobs, and contracts to people with low or very low incomes. Section 3 jobs are available to everyone, including both people who live in CHA housing and those who don't.
