Thank you for your interest in Chicago’s Emergency Housing Vouchers. The Chicago Continuum of Care (CoC), a membership organization made up of agencies and people who work to prevent and end homelessness in Chicago, is actively referring people in homeless programs to vouchers. There is no way to sign up for a waitlist for this housing resource.
If you need a place to sleep tonight or are seeking other homelessness prevention resources, call 3-1-1 to speak to the Homeless Prevention Call Center.

Are you ready to fill your available units? Hundreds of individuals and families are actively looking to rent units — don't miss out!
Step 1: Learn more about EHVs, the leasing process and working with CHA.

Step 2: Advertise your available units. Like all HCV participant families, EHV families will search for housing in the private market and will contact the property owners if they are interested in an available unit.
EHV families receive personalized housing location assistance from Chicago Rents, a program of All Chicago. To connect directly with EHV families, property owners can add their units to Chicago Rents’ database: Complete a unit availability survey.
CHA partners with AffordableHousing.com to connect voucher holders with potential units. Note: Property owner or unit postings on AffordableHousing.com are not pre-screened, pre-approved, or endorsed by CHA.
