At Springboard to Success, we’re dedicated to empowering the youth of Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) households by providing the tools and opportunities they need to achieve academic excellence, economic security, and long-term independence. We believe that every young person deserves the chance to thrive, which is why we’re focused on creating strong, supportive communities that foster growth and self-sufficiency.
Each year CHA prepares several reports containing financial information for the agency, including the Comprehensive Annual Budget and Comprehensive Annual Financial Report (CAFR).

CHA is committed to addressing any issues that are reported in a timely manner. That’s why it is important for our senior leadership to regularly walk our sites and meet directly with resident leadership - as they did at Dearborn Homes August 13, 2024.
Board Meetings are intended to oversee the management and operations of the housing authority, ensuring that it fulfills its mission to provide safe, affordable housing. During these meetings, the Board reviews and approves policies, budgets, and strategic initiatives, discusses property management and development projects, and addresses tenant services and concerns. The Board's decisions during these meetings help shape the direction and effectiveness of the housing authority.
CHA encourages community members to stay informed on current issues and business actions pertaining to public housing in Chicago.
In accordance with the Illinois Open Meetings Act, CHA notifies residents and the general public of upcoming Board and public meetings, and posts announcements, agendas, minutes, and resolutions to our Legistar site.
