More homes for families coming soon: CHA Board of Commissioners approves contracts to renovate 60 apartments in four vacant buildings as part of its Restore Home initiative

Starting June 17, your child can enjoy free breakfast and lunch at Summer Food sites across the city—no sign-up needed!

The CHA operates these sites alongside other providers, including CPS, with each provider setting its own rules and hours.

Mobility Counseling Services Program

Mobility Areas are neighborhoods with low poverty (less than 20%) and low crime rates. Families may choose to move to these areas for better schools, safer streets, and more job opportunities.

The Mobility Counseling Program (MCP) helps families find housing Mobility Areas. A counselor will help you plan your move, find and apply for housing, and build a support network in your new community. Participants can also attend workshops to learn about budgeting, understanding leases, and moving tips.

The Chicago Housing Authority (CHA) Health Partnership Program invites health-related organizations to collaborate in delivering valuable health related information to residents. Participation in the program is voluntary and unpaid, ensuring that all partnerships focus solely on enhancing resident well-being. Organizations must complete an application for review and approval, which includes alignment with resident needs and compliance with program guidelines.
