Coined with the phrase, “Bronzeville’s Hidden Gem,” it leaves visitors to question why it wasn’t discovered sooner.

Located at 4859 S. Wabash Ave, the center’s significance is unknown to some, named for Chicago’s late Congressman Charles A. Hayes and previously known as Times Square and Bacon’s Casino, it is conveniently located in the Bronzeville-Grand Boulevard community. The center is a staple in the community and houses organizations that offer unique services.

History lives here

Stories to be told by viewing the murals around the building and taking the photographic tour throughout the lobby documenting the centers’ past.
